Office Space

Office Space is 20 years old this week.
Nice article about it in the Telegraph, if you can shimmy round the paywall.

Hi, my name is Steve. I come from a rough area. I used to be addicted to crack but now I am off it and trying to stay clean. That is why I am selling magazine subscriptions.

Brilliant film Nurse. Having worked in IT, the kicking the shit out of the printer scene still resonates with me.

When you worked in IT, did you remember to use the new cover sheets with your TPS reports? Apparently there's been a memo...

I couldn’t read the full article but it was very underrated at the time. I’d just started working uptown in that kind of environment having never done any office type work previously. It was fucking bang on the money.

Love office space.
Mike judge's film "idiocracy" is even better, but nobody seems to know it.
Shame as it's the most accurate prediction of humans future. And it's terrifying.
Here's the opening scene about how morons breed quicker and in bigger numbers than intelligent people. The opposite of Darwin's law.

I like Ron Livingston in a number of things
This, Band of Brothers, bits in Boardwalk Empire and recently a little thing called Loudermilk.

Nurse
How do you shimmy round the telegraph paywall?
Utter crap free news nowadays.
BBC / Guardian / Independent hardly cut the mustard compared to the torygraph.

I don't. Someone once gave me his log-in details for his Telegraph account and I'm still mooching off him.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly say I've been *missing* it, Bob."

Nurse, that is handy, I reckon that's saving you £300 pa.
Hardly a fortune but fucking no way I'm going to pay for some that I used to get for gratis.
Good luck to you, that's a result.

Anyone remember Gary Cole in Midnight Caller? I thought he was excellent in that but it only lasted two or three years, early nineties?

Not much point in putting up an article if no one can read it
